The Slum Project: Bringing Smiles and Opportunities

Khunying Finola Chatamra, Honorary Adviser to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, led a team of doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers into urban slum communities.
The outreach was conducted at two locations: 1) Lock 6 Khlong Toei, Bon Kai, and Suan Oi
at Bangkok Vocational Training School (Khlong Toei); and 2) Our Lady of Fatima Church.
These sessions provided initial health checks in preparation for breast cancer screening
by mammography and ultrasound at the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer two weeks later. Additionally, educational talks were held on Saturday 7 March 2026,
to raise awareness of breast health.
