Graciously bestowed by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, the royal trophy is awarded to the winning team of the women’s charity polo tournament, the “Queen’s Cup Pink Polo”. Humbly requested from Her Majesty by Dr Kris Chatamra, Founder of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, the trophy has been presented at the tournament since 2008. The event is organised by Ms Nunthinee Tanner, Thailand’s first female polo player, and Dr Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm Group and President of the Thailand Equestrian Federation, with the principal objective of raising funds for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, under the Thai Red Cross Society. Crafted in elegant silver and adorned with Her Majesty’s Royal Cypher, the trophy
is ceremonially placed before Her Majesty’s portrait on the day of the competition
and conferred with due honour upon the most successful team.
